TimeOut says: The annual Chili Synthesizer Cook-Off returns to the Empty Bottle, entering its sixth year of combining tasty stews and scintillating sine waves. This year, the event falls on Valentine's Day, because nothing is more romantic than eating spoonfuls of bean while watching a guy twirl some knobs. The event tasks musicians with cooking a chili and then performing a sonic interpretation of their culinary creation on an analogue synth. Attendees get to taste each culinary creation and crown a champion—bring your date for dinner and show!
