The Ten Pound bar is a great pick if you’re looking for a hidden, quiet and very upscale bar. Oh, and if you’re looking for Scotch, namely Macallan. Oh, and the fireside outdoor patio that’s perfect for revving up the romanticism! And let’s not forget that it’s located inside the beautiful Montage Beverly Hills Hotel. But let’s get back to the Scotch… Many visit for the hard to find selection of Macallan Single Malts. Choose from the list of Sherry Oak, fine oak, Highland Park and "old & rare" bottles aged 15 and up to 64 years.

Moonshadows has a tiki-themed patio bar called The Blue Lounge. It was voted top 10 Travel Channel beach bars of the world and #11 on CNN top bar/lounge in the world. Seasoned international DJ’s perform regularly at the bar overlooking Malibu beach. Performance times Thursday 7pm-12am | Friday & Saturday 7pm-1am and Sunday 3-9pm.

The Living Room is a beach-house style bar situated right on the Santa Monica beach. Infused with New England charm, the ambiance is luxurious yet low-key. Perfect for a date night. Grab your date and head to Rosaline to explore Peruvian cuisine and sip on some of the best pisco sours and vodka martinis in the city. The indoor-outdoor space is bright, airy, and full of natural warming sunlight, perfect for creating that sunny, beachy California vibe. This stylish bar/restaurant is great for a first (or second, or third) date.

The perfect vegan-friendly date choice. And this vegan menu is actually tasty. Gracias Madre is a plant-based organic Mexican restaurant, with a full wine, beer, and agave-heavy cocktail menu. Go for the house specialty, the Purista, made with reposado tequila and lime and orange bitters, and order it picante

This neighborly bar is a perfect casual date night option. They are known for their Asian-inspired cocktails, one it’s of the only places in LA that carries Taiwan Beer. This is because their neighbor, Little Fatty, is a Taiwanese soul food restaurant. So, if you’re hungry, you can order from Little Fatty and the food will promptly be brought to your table. (Think modern takes on classic dishes like squid ink soup dumplings and General Tso's cauliflower.)

If you’re a sucker for rooftop bars and tiki torches, Broken Shaker is your spot. It sits atop the gorgeous Freehand Hotel with amazing views of downtown LA, a pool, and DJs on the weekends. The bartenders serve handcrafted cocktails and tiki classics. A James Beard Award finalist and winner of Tales of the Cocktail’s Best American Hotel Bar award.

Labeling themself as the “best beer bar in Los Angeles,” Mikkeller is an industrial chic gastropub with an impressive beer menu, including 52 esoteric, hard to find global microbrews on a rotating seasonal tap. This is definitely a more laid-back date option, but perfect if your date is more of a beer and sausage kind of gal (a rare find). It has to be one of the largest gastropubs on the West Coast and offers Scandinavian-inspired bar bites including house-smoked sausages and top-notch cheese and charcuterie plates.

This intimate, Italian-themed bar stands out for date nights and for a good reason. They have seasonal cocktails made with an extensive selection of hard-to-find Italian amaros, and delicious house-made pizza with local ingredients. The wine program has been called "one of the most interesting lists" in Los Angeles by the Los Angeles Times and "one of the best places to drink Italian wine in LA" by Los Angeles Magazine. The ambiance is warm and inviting, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Can’t go wrong with this date night spot.
