THE INTERVAL AT LONG NOW
The Interval is a bar, coffee shop, event space, museum, and the home of The Long Now Foundation all bundled up into one pretty, little package. It's library-like vibe is due to its floor-to-ceiling books available for reading while you sip on one of their artisan cocktails.

Stones Throw goes back to the basics, highlighting the simple things in life: great food, undying hospitality, and a fun, carefree environment where everyone is welcome. They offer seasonal New American cuisine, an extensive craft beer list, and rare wines.

If you want to feel like you're dining in a traditional village gasthaus in the middle of Alpine Austria, munching on Austrian fare while you sip on European beer, this is exactly the place you want to be. They feature eight old-world classic tap beers and numerous beers by the bottle.

TUNNEL TOP LOUNGE & BAR
This ultra funky corner bar offers an intimate two-story bar atop the Stockton tunnel. On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights they have a DJ, and other nights music plays from their jukebox.

This place made its way to three of our Best lists for best bar, restaurant, and brunch spot. The Cavalier is a London-inspired brasserie located inside Hotel Zetta, and was named James Beard Semi-Finalists for “Best New Restaurant in America” in 2014 and 2012. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu!

Trou Normand is a butchery and bar combined into one. Their cocktails are based on classic turn-of-the-century recipes made with Brandies and spirits that we meticulously source from small batch producers, including an exclusive selection of Armagnac, Cognac, and Calvados that cannot be found anywhere else in the US. Handcrafted beers and wines are also available. If you're curious about the butcher, try one of their 40 types of salami and charcuterie!

Oddjob is a quirky neighborhood bar that thoughtfully crafts its libations based on three different characteristics: earthy, floral, and spicy. Beer and wine are also served, but we suggest trying their cocktails that pay homage to classic methods and style. The perfect spot for a classy date night.

Voted best Happy Hour by the San Francisco Magazine's Best Of The Bay, this bar and basement lounge is inspired by the taverns of the ancient Roman neighborhood for which it was named. The main bar is framed by brick walls, large windows and artifacts dating back to Jackson Square’s more infamous times. In the downstairs lounge, you'll find oriental carpet, leather armchairs, and a dark wood bar.

We couldn't help it, we had to add a tiki bar to the list! Bamboo Hut serves huge fruity cocktails over it's full palapa bar equipped with a tiki god adorned waterfall while DJ-spun tunes play in the background.

If you love a good dive bar along with heavy metal tunes, Benders Bar is your go-to spot. Play your favorite punk and metal tunes straight from the jukebox while playing a game of pool or pinball. If your tummy starts to growl, they offer grub for vegans, veggies, and carnivores.

This bar may have a laid-back vibe, but it takes their drinks seriously. While you can find many craft beers along with wine on tap, we recommend trying one of their snazzy cocktails. Our favorite? The Brass Smash with Venezuelan rum, cynar, mint and lemon. YUM!

The tequila, mezcal and bar program match the thoughtfulness and seasonality of the culinary offering at Padrecita. They search out hand crafted and boutique distilleries in order to offer over 80 in house tequilas and mezcals. These agave based spirits create the base of our cocktail menu while bourbon, rum and other spirits make a tasteful appearance.
